The Mainkofen District Medical Clinic, which is known far beyond the district boundaries for its neurological centre and its clinic for psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy, is only approx. 5 km away from Fischerdorf. In the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy alone, around 53 doctors and 332 nursing staff care for almost 6,000 inpatients every year.
